A great candle experience begins with proper candle care. Here are some important burning tips to keep your candle burning beautifully.
The first time you light your candle let it burn long enough to melt the entire top layer of wax and form an even wax pool to the edge of the glass. Extinguish the candle when it reaches this point.
If the wax is not melted all the way across the entire top of the candle it may tunnel and burn down leaving hard unmelted wax on the side of the glass.
To ensure a clean, even burn that uses every inch of wax, allowing a superb distribution of fragrance create a full wax pool each time you burn your candle.
Candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time.
Candle wicks should be trimmed to approx. 5mm for burning. If the wick is too long it may cause the candle to burn improperly. If your candle flickers or smokes, extinguish the flame and trim the tip of the wick. To avoid this, we suggest trimming the wick every 4 hours of burn time. Do not let foreign particles, matches, pieces of wick fall into the wax and become a hazard.
Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface. Do not move or tilt a burning candle and keep it away from drafts. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out or reach of children and pets. Do not burn your candle down to the bottom of the glass. Leave at least 10mm. This will prevent heat damage to the glass and surface. This is very important.
Candles can be sensitive to extreme cold and heat.Store candles at room temperature in a cool dry place and away from direct sunlight.
